This project will explore the idea of existing within and outside of society’s boundaries. It will zoom in on the visibility and purpose of street artists who have become visual spokespersons by occupying space for disenfranchised communities, cultures, and ideas.

Using the parallax projection of a time-lapse video of the creation of his mural, Eric Mandeville hopes that he can help challenge mis-notions of street art by redefining it as a social practice. He wants to inspire people by displaying their humanity in a new light, by describing their intimacy with not only other life but even physical space.

This is a split event with McKenzie Steutzel, who is hosting her thesis show Merge Visible.
