Jane Tylus, Yale University - Saying Goodbye in the Renaissance

Jane Tylus is Andrew Downey Orrick Professor of Italian and Comparative Literature at Yale, where she also has a teaching appointment in the Divinity School.

She is the author, most recently, of Siena, City of Secrets (2015), and co-editor, with Karen Newman, of Early Modern Cultures of Translation (2015). She edits the journal I Tatti Studies in the Italian Renaissance and has worked in areas ranging from medieval women mystics through contemporary Sicilian literature.
