The topic for our final talk of the semester is: "The Inclusive Syllabus.” Course syllabi are “unobtrusive but powerful indicators of what takes place in classrooms” (Bers, Davis, and Taylor, 2000). What messages are you sending through your syllabus? How can you re-design your syllabus to make it more inclusive in language and content?

Come join other faculty, post-docs, and graduate TAs for this Diversity Lunch Talk to begin thinking together about these questions. Bring a syllabus to workshop specific aspects of your syllabus.

A light lunch is provided.

This is an event sponsored by the Institute for Teaching Excellence & Faculty Development (TEFD) as part of the Fall 2016 TEFD Teaching & Diversity Professional Development Series.

The Campus Center is located in the middle of campus at 1 Campus Center Way. Parking is available in the Campus Center Garage.
