The final conversation of the semester in a series of group conversations for students, faculty, and staff to build skills to overcome division while talking about real issues affecting our campus and society at large. Moderated conversations have included free speech on campus, privacy vs. security, conflicts in the classroom over politics, and more.
Participants will be trained to use an effective model of active listening and respectful engagement prior to facilitated table discussions. These conversations are designed to help us engage others in discussions that are based in empathy and invite diverse perspectives in an effort to create shared understanding and combat polarization.
