In this lecture, Prof. Hollander will speak about the ways that designers need to approach public spaces differently today. These new requirements are due to social distancing requirements of the pandemic and in light of recent advances in psychology and neuroscience that help us understand better how people experience urban space.

Talks can explore a range of topics including personal growth, academic research, or new perspectives.

This drop-in supportive group is offered to create a safe, affirming, and confidential space for Latinx-identified students who would like to come together to share their stories, struggles, and successes as they work to accomplish their academic goals at UMass.

This installation is a collaborative project between an Indian artist living in the U.S.and her American friend living in India. They recorded initial experiences of the place that each had just moved to. These impressions are inscribed on objects that are peculiar to this new place, something unseen in their country of origin.
