Building Bridges Pop-Up Sessions and Art Exhibits

Event Details

March 19—April 10, 2018

All Campus

Free admission

Visit one of the Building Bridges art installations, available in several locations on campus including the Campus Center Concourse, the Design Building and Hampshire Dining Commons. These exhibits will feature artwork by students, faculty, and staff from across campus, and the artwork will be updated daily.

There will be opportunities to meet participants during several pop-up sessions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 22 (Campus Center Concourse), March 29 (Design Building), and April 5 (Hampshire Dining Commons).

The art installation invites individuals to answer the questions: “What differences do you want to bridge and/or connect, and how can we accomplish this goal?” Responses are written or drawn on cards that prompt reflection and creative expression on the theme of building bridges across difference. Once completed, the cards are collected and assembled as a mosaic on one of three art installations on campus.

At these locations, you may pick up an individual card for yourself, get multiple cards and engage your students and/or colleagues in this collaborative activity, or simply view the exhibit.
