Online
Sessions offered via Zoom: Pre-registration for full series of 8 sessions required.
“This is your country, this is your world, this is your body, and you must find some way to live within the all of it.” - Ta-Nehisi Coates, 2015
Racism lives in our bodies, shaping perceptions, priming reactions, biasing decisions. To undo racism, we have to know it. To know it, we have to see it. To see it, we have to look for it. We can start by looking inside our own bodies. Explore, Observe, Learn, Reflect, Share.
In this free 8-session, 90-minute, experiential group program, you will learn mindful self-regulation skills to manage White fragility. We will use guided activities to observe our own embodied action tendencies related to performance of White identity. Opportunities to verbalize and share experiences in an affirming and strength-based format are also provided.
