“Play Lab” featuring “Life Defying Acts” and “I Love Sean,” directed by Ira Bayeza, runs March 30-April 8.

Auditions are January 30 and 31, 6:30-10:30 p.m., at the Fine Arts Center 204/206, with callbacks on February 1 and 2.

LIFE DEFYING ACTS: A tale of two sisters caught in throes of America’s epidemic wave of juvenile depression and young adult suicide, the toll and atonement, recrimination, recovery.

I LOVE SEAN: Who am I outside of a relationship? How do we connect, communicate when words are underwater? An absurdist modern Karaoke satire on the pursuit of love.

Actors should be prepared to read from the scripts. Actors should also be aware that they are auditioning for both shows when they come to Play Lab auditions. LIFE DEFYING ACTS will have a longer rehearsal and performance schedule than I LOVE SEAN; the Play Lab creative team will share details at the audition.

“Play Lab” is open to theater majors & community members of all ages, race, ethnic origin, ability, sexual orientation or gender identification.
