Since the very production of academic and scientific knowledge is increasingly global, international research collaborations have become more necessary for academics today. The goal of this workshop is to develop strategies to build and maintain thriving productive and successful collaborations with colleagues abroad.
Facilitator: Kathrin Zippel, Professor of Sociology at Northeastern University is currently working as consultant for a Nature Masterclasses on (international) collaboration and was the Research Director and Co-PI in the Northeastern University’s NSF ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant that focused on advancing women in interdisciplinary and international networks.
This workshop is offered as part of the ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant awarded to UMass that aims to develop systemic and sustainable approaches to advance gender equity (including dynamics at the intersection of race and gender) and promote gender equity in ways that involve all faculty through a focus on Collaboration and Equity.
The Integrative Learning Center is located in the center of campus, between the campus pond and the Campus Center.
