Last August, UMass Amherst was awarded a coveted ADVANCE Institutional Transformation grant that aims to develop systemic and sustainable approaches to advance gender equity (including dynamics at the intersection of race and gender) and promote gender equity in ways that involve all faculty through a focus on Collaboration and Equity

Join us to celebrate this achievement at the ADVANCE Launch Lecture and reception. We are delighted to host Dean Gilda Barabino, the Daniel and Frances Berg Professor and Dean of the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York. Dean Barabino was recently elected to the National Academy of Engineering and is now one of only six African-American women to hold the distinction.

This will also be a time to learn more about how the ADVANCE program will provide resources, foster relationships, and ensure recognition for your work on campus.
