Program Overview

The Environmental Science Program at the University of Massachusetts offers a Bachelor of Science Degree.  This undergraduate program provides students with a rich, interdisciplinary educational experience. 

A strong collaborative network of affiliated faculty involved in environmental research enables students to make new connections and think creatively across traditional boundaries.  Through a combination of core requirements and related upper-division courses, students develop the knowledge essential to the achievement of environmental education. 

The Environmental Science Program is committed to providing a high quality interdisciplinary education that develops critical thinking and scientific skills for a lifetime of personal and professional success in the environmental field.

The completion of a degree is excellent preparation for a career in governmental agencies, private industry, teaching, or research.
