The University of Massachusetts Amherst, the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative (MassTech), and state and local officials gathered today at the university’s Gloucester Marine Station to celebrate $3 million in capital funding for resilient infrastructure upgrades and strategic initiatives at the station.
Congratulations to the class of 2024 graduates in BCT, NRC and ENVISCI! ECo faculty enjoyed the annual tradition of congratulating each student as they came off the stage in the Mullins Center, and then gathered at the Olver Design Building for a reception with the graduates and their families.
Congratulations to all the student award and scholarship winners in ECo! We celebrated their accomplishments on beautiful May afternoon at the Young Men’s Club in Hadley, with food, laughter, and outdoor games. The awards recognized both academic excellence and engagement on the campus and beyond. The award recipients included a total of 77 students in BCT, ENVISCI, NRC and graduate students in ECO and OEB. We are proud of them, and also grateful for the many donors who made these awards possible.
We are excited to announce the availability of a full-time (12 month) Lecturer position in our BCT program, focused on Digital Design & Professional Communication in the AEC field. Reviews begin in early April with a job start date of September 1, 2024. See below for details
There is an nice writeup of research on a paper in The Journal of Experimental Biology by Lonthair et al – Josh Lonthair (currently a lecturer in the Biology dept) and several other OEB folks – Students Estefany Argueta and John Swenson, and OEB faculty Lisa Komoroske, Brian Cheng, Steve McCormick.and Ben Letcher.
