Shivan Kaitesi Kamugisha

Shivan Kaitesi Kamugisha is a PhD student in the Department of Environmental Conservation at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She holds a Master of Science in Ecohydrology from Christian Albrechts University of Kiel, Germany, and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Makerere University, Uganda. Her current research focuses on socio-ecological systems, examining the factors influencing African lion populations in the Greater Virunga Landscape, a transboundary ecosystem in East Africa.
