Project: Internal and external factors affecting urban forest management in New York State municipalities.
Well-supported urban forest management is critical to ensuring the success of urban forests, yet many states have little data on the needs and motivations of their urban forest managers. My research will focus on understanding the resources, barriers, and needs of urban forest managers in New York State. The results will provide guidance and enable urban forestry managers, support agencies, organizations, and programs to be more impactful, and will empower communities to obtain greater urban forestry outcomes.
