My research interests include aquatic habitat connectivity, fish ecology, physiology, and behavior, and aquatic invasive species biology, with an emphasis on conservation applications. I am currently investigating the behavioral motivation and volitional swimming ability of a suite of understudied native freshwater fish species. These results will inform fish passage designs to improve connectivity at hydraulic barriers, supporting the conservation of freshwater fish populations.
