A portfolio is a space where you can store and curate your written and creative work. This can include written assignments, digital projects, or creative pieces (for example).

A portfolio approach encourages you to collect, reflect, and make connections across courses, projects, and interests to see how your thinking has developed during your time at UMass. Being able to clearly articulate your growth and interests is a marketable skill, and portfolios give you the opportunity to draw on specific materials you may need to use to communicate your experiences to potential employers or graduate programs.

Ready to start keeping a portfolio? Log into OneDrive and create a folder to store your writing and other creative work. Then consider setting up a simple e-portfolio with a template from Google Sites or some other platform. You can also create a blog at blogs.umass.edu.
