Our alumni achieve great things.

We've known for a long time that an education in English is much more than reading and writing. Our alumni go on to become valuable members of their communities and to forge interesting and innovative careers in fields from law to publishing to education to techonology.

Students can connect with an alumni mentor.

Your UMass English degree is one of your strongest assets. As an alum, you likely know this.  But current students often don't yet realize how many options they will have once they graduate. You can help them by signing up to be an Alumni Advisor through the Evisors Alumni Advisor Network.  Here you can help students with their resumes and offer them career advice.  Choose to give just a few hours a year or several hours a month. All contact is coordinated through a conference style system, so advice seekers will not be accessing you directly. You may also use the system yourself to network with other alumni in your field or watch many of the webinars on the site.

We also encourage you to join the UMass Amherst English Majors group on LinkedIn to connect with other English alumni.
