Stephen Clingman has recently written a catalogue for the forthcoming William Kentridge exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. Kentridge is internationally renowned for the expressionism of his work in numerous media, and his art is shaped by apartheid and grounded in the politics of the post-apartheid era.
Clingman was commissioned by Kentridge and the Royal Academy to write the catalogue. On September 17, Clingman will travel to London for a series of events marking the opening of the exhibition and the publication of the book, which the Royal Academy calls "a brilliant exposition of Kentridge’s work."
