Callie (Williams) Reynolds graduated from UMass in 2007 with a Bachelor's degree in English and a specialization in Professional Writing and Technical Communication (PWTC). Earlier this month, she was featured in the webseries Women in Tech, hosted by SmarterCX.
Reynolds, now the Vice President of Account Management for the Moat team within Oracle Data Cloud, reflected on how studying English helped lead her into her career in the technology industry.
She says, "My path to technology is actually pretty interesting. I was an English major. I always liked science and math, but I felt more of a connection to the arts world, so I did theater, English, and music. It was in college when I was more introduced to a program that was more specific to technical writing. It was taking my skills as a communicator and applying it to taking really technical information and interpreting it into layman's terms so that anyone can understand it."
