Nicole O’Connell, PhD student in composition and rhetoric, recently released the second edition of a collection of transcribed diary entries written by students at the Worcester Normal School during the 1870s-1900s. O’Connell transcribed the entries, edited them, and provided annotations throughout the edited collection. The collection was published through a grant from Worcester State University’s Alumni Association’s Advisory Board.
O’Connell also recently took part in the Graduate School’s Public Writing Fellows program. Her article, “The Beauty of Science,” was published on the Graduate School’s website in early November.
O’Connell’s research focuses on intersections between technical communication, public history, and digital humanities.
