Liane Malinowski (PhD '18) Awarded the 2018 Presidents Dissertation Award for CFSHRC

Liane Malinowski's dissertation, titled “Civic Domesticity: Rhetoric, Women, and Space at Hull House, 1889-1910" was awarded the 2018 Presidents Dissertation Award for the Coalition of Feminist Scholars in the History of Rhetoric and Composition (CFSHRC). Malinowski's dissertation had also been awarded an Honorable Mention for the Conference on College Composition and Communication's (CCCC) James Berlin Memorial Outstanding Dissertation Award in 2019. Malinowski defended her dissertation in February of 2018 under the guidance of her chair, Haivan Hoang, and committee members, David Fleming and Jennifer Fronc.
Malinowski earned her doctoral degree in the Composition and Rhetoric program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and is a current Assistant Professor at the University of North Texas.
