Joy Hayward-Jansen, Korka Sall, and Subhalakshmi Gooptu Named as Five College Women's Studies Research Center Research Associates

Joy Hayward-Jansen, Korka Sall, and Subhalakshmi Gooptu were recently named as Five College Women's Studies Research Center (FCWSRC) Research Associates for 2019-2020.
Hayward-Jansen is a PhD Candidate in English, whose work is titled, "Save Our Children: Queer Discourse Formation in the U.S. and South Africa." She will be joining the FCWSRC for the academic year. Sall, also a Research Associate for the academic year, is a PhD Candidate in English working, working on "Connections in Color: Francophone Black Women Writers and Activists in France, Martinique, and Senegal 1920-1980." Finally, Subhalakshmi Gooptu, PhD Candidate in English, will join the FCWSRC in the Spring or 2020 with her work, "Remapping Reproduction and Citizenship in Contemporary US American Migrant Fiction."
About the FCWSRC:
The Center initiates and supports collaborative projects dedicated to engaged, critical feminist scholarship from diverse perspectives. With an emphasis on emerging fields in women’s, gender, and sexuality studies in all disciplines, the Center also provides a forum in which faculty and graduate students in the Five Colleges, visiting scholars at all ranks from around the world, and partner organizations can present their work. Annual thematic foci provide a framework for partnerships, short-term and long-term residencies and symposia.
