One of John Hennessy's translations is Poem of the Week at the TLS. Read "Underground Zoo" by Yuri Andrukhovych and translated by Hennessy.

Hennessy and his co-translator, Ostap Kin, read at the Massachusetts Poetry Festival last Saturday. They presented work from their new project, a selected poems by Yuri Andrukhovych, as well as work from their new anthology of poems about the Holocaust massacre in Kyiv (1941-1943), Babyn Yar: Ukrainian Poets Respond, just out as part of the Harvard Library of Ukrainian Literature. The book is a dual-language volume featuring translations by Hennessy and Kin—poems written between 1941 and 2018 by two dozen poets.

Hennessy's own poems are forthcoming this month in Hanging Loose and Matter: a monthly journal of political poetry and commentary.
