John Hennessy’s poems have recently appeared in Hanging Loose, Massachusetts Review, Southern Poetry Review, Matter: a monthly journal of political poetry and commentary, Hampden-Sydney Poetry Review, The Tampa Review, and will be reprinted in The Best American Poetry 2024.
His translations of poems by Yuri Andrukhovych, with Ostap Kin, have recently been published in Poetry and New England Review. A book of his own poems, Exit Garden State, and a collection of translations, Set Change: Selected Poems of Yuri Andrukhovych, will be out this calendar year.
On April 10th, John will join Yuri Andrukhovych to read at Columbia University.
