John Hennessy and his translation partner, Ostap Kin, have won the Book Award for Best Scholarly Translation for their anthology Babyn Yar: Ukrainian Poets Respond from the American Association for Teachers of Slavic and East European Languages (AATSEEL).
Hennessy will read translations as well as poems from Exit Garden State, his new book, at Smith College's Boutelle-Day Poetry Center on Thursday, March 6, at 7 pm. Please join him there.
