Elena Kalodner-Martin, a PhD student in the Composition and Rhetoric program, was recently awarded a Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication (CPTSC) Diversity Scholarship. Awarded to one or two graduate students annually, this scholarship seeks to recognize graduate students whose race, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, and/or nationality are underrepresented in the technical communication field and who exhibit the most potential in the field of technical, professional, and scientific communication in his or her studies and research.
Kalodner-Martin's research is at the intersection of technical communication and the rhetoric of health and medicine. She is a Teaching Associate in the Professional Writing and Technical Communication program and a member of the Graduate Student Outreach Committee for CPTSC.
