Edie Meidav, Malcolm Sen, and Katherine O'Callaghan have received the UMass ADVANCE 2025 EPiC Award for On Distant Keys.

On Distant Keys was one of two teams selected to win the 2025 UMass ADVANCE Equitable Practices in Collaboration (EPiC) Award. The members of the team are English department faculty Edie Meidav, Malcolm Sen and Katherine O'Callaghan and their colleagues: Sandy Litchfield, Ray Mann, Madeleine Charney, Julie Brigham-Grette, and Robert Deconto.

Jennifer Normanly, Director of ADVANCE,  writes "The On Distant Keys collective's collaboration practices are an inspiring model of creative and inclusive worldmaking that uplifts and expands knowledge across boundaries for participating faculty and all involved. The reviewers are excited to foster recognition of this creative approach to scholarly impact and excellence through equitable collaboration."
