The Russian translation of David Toomey’s Kingdom of Play, Царство игры, was longlisted for the Prosvetitel Prize, awarded annually by the Zimin Foundation to “the best non-fiction science books, both written in Russian and translated into Russian from other languages.”

(Berlin: Goldmann Verlag, 2024), was Longlisted for Science Book of the Year by Bundesministerium für Frauen, Wissenschaft und Forschung (BMFWF), Federal Ministry for Women, Science and Research. “The annual election of the Science Book of the Year on behalf of the Ministry of Education aims to bring research, scientific findings, and knowledge transfer into the spotlight and thus to a wider public.”
