David Fleming Named Recipient of the 2019 NCTE Richard C. Ohmann Outstanding Article in College English Award

David Fleming has been named as the recipient of the 2019 National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) Richard C. Ohmann Outstanding Article in College English award. His article is titled "Fear of Persuasion in the English Language Arts," which he had also presented part of during a colloquium last spring. This presitigious honor is given in the name of Richard C. Ohmann, landmark editor of College English throughout the 1960s. It recognizes an outstanding refereed article in the past volume year that makes the most significant contribution to scholarship or research, or theory or pedagogy, in English studies.
Fleming will be honored at the NCTE Annual Convention in Baltimore, Maryland later this month.
