Chandler Steckbeck, PhD student in literature, wrote a theater review of Gallathea which has been recently published in the peer-reviewed quarterly journal, Shakespeare Bulletin, volume 39, issue 3.
Alongside being a PhD student in literature, Steckbeck is a Teaching Associate in the Writing Program. Through the use of Actor Network Theory (ANT) along with other object-oriented theories, Steckbeck's current work explores hierarchies of power and the relationality between personified characters and non-human entities on the early modern English stage.
