Headshot of Abigail Chabitnoy

Abigail Chabitnoy was recently featured in a Massachusetts Daily Collegian article written by English major Kalana Amarasekara. "A conversation with Abigail Chabitnoy" discusses Chabitnoy's work focusing on Indigenous communities and histories, including Chabitnoy's poetry anthology, “How to Dress a Fish,” about the forced assimilation of Indigenous children at boarding schools.

Amarasekara writes: "Chabitnoy credits the ability of literature to 'humanize' history when it is being discussed, especially in the context of discussing past atrocities that had been committed unto communities."

The article also features Laura Furlan.
