Viet Thanh Nguyen is an acclaimed author, 2016 Pulitzer Prize winner, 2017 Guggenheim Fellow, and 2017 MacArthur Fellow. His novel The Sympathizer (2015) won the Pulitzer Prize for fiction, while Nothing Ever Dies: Vietnam and the Memory of War (2016) was a finalist for the National Book Award in nonfiction. Nguyen is also the author of Race and Resistance: Literature and Politics in Asian America (2012) and The Refugees (2017). He writes for venues from the New York Times, to the LA Times, to the Guardian.
