Designed for students in grades 8–12, these programs offer workshops in prose, poetry and mixed media, as well as craft sessions, field trips, and participant readings. Events are hosted on the UMass Amherst campus during the summer giving teens an exceptional pre-college experience. Online creative writing programming happens during the winter and summer months.

The Western Massachusetts Writing Project is a professional community of teachers dedicated to providing a space for teachers to teach other teachers, as we all work towards improving student achievement and success. WMWP offers professional development for teachers and youth writing programs during the summer.
