Satyaki is from a small river town in India that was once a Dutch colony in the Bengal delta. He holds a BA (English) from the University of Calcutta, an MA (English) from EFL University, Hyderabad, and an MA by Research (Human Sciences) from IIT Bombay. His research explores how South Asian literatures engage with water ecologies as socio-historical ways of knowing, contributing to questions of mobility, sovereignty, and climate change.
