Erica Light

In my professional career I have focused on academic community development and inclusive biochemistry teaching in an instructional lab environment. Recently I have been interested in academies of science as potential sites of intentional social reproduction toward sustainability. In the next year I am most eager to explore the social constructions of Western knowledge production with implications for curriculum design and institutional change for social equity. In the long-term, I hope to build toward complex network analysis and holistic rehabilitation. My social-theoretical interests lie with equitable and empowering labor practices, needs-centric economies, decolonial human-land relationships, and resilience in diverse communities.
