John Dean

John Dean served as Counsel to the President of the United States from July 1970 to April 1973. Before becoming White House counsel at age thirty-one, he was the chief minority counsel to the House Judiciary Committee. Dean has written three books about the Nixon administration and Watergate, including Blind Ambition (1976) and The Nixon Defense: What He Knew and When He Knew It (2014), which is being developed by Amazon Studios into a feature film. After retiring from a two-decade business career, he returned to full-time writing and lecturing, and is currently working on a book about Donald Trump’s presidency. Since 2017, he has been a political/legal commentator and contributor for CNN.
