Charles M. Sennott

Charles Sennott ‘84 has reported on war and insurgency in Afghanistan, Iraq, and some twenty other countries, primarily for the Boston Globe, where he became Bureau Chief for the Middle East and Europe. In 2012, he founded The GroundTruth Project to support young journalists reporting in under-covered corners of the world. In 2019, after the historic acquisition of Daniel Ellsberg’s papers by the University of Massachusetts, Sennottworked with the Chancellor’s Office to develop a course, website, and conference on Ellsberg. GroundTruth is also producing a series of podcasts called The Whistleblower: Truth, Dissent and the Legacy of Daniel Ellsberg.
