Lab Safety Training

Training covers the foundational principles of safety & regulatory compliance necessary for working in a lab space.
- Required for anyone who works in a lab, or in any other research area with chemicals, including shops.
- If you work in an art studio, you should complete Art Safety Training in lieu of this Lab Safety Training.
- Topics include hazard communication/right to know, hierarchy of controls, appropriate use of safety equipment and procedures, PPE programs & other resources, hazardous waste, and emergencies.
- Lab safety training is required annually.
- Use this guide as a compliment to the training.
