Ali Soken is a PhD student in Math, Science and Learning Technologies at UMass Amherst. He earned his BA in Computer Education & Educational Technology and his MA in Primary Science Education at Bogazici University, Turkey. Ali has worked as an instructional designer in an e-learning company, and as a project specialist in Educational Volunteer Foundation of Turkey. Currently he is working as a teaching assistant in an Introduction to Special Education course, and a research assistant in a robotic project to enhance computational thinking skills of middle school students. His research interests include technology integration in educational settings, media education, and informal learning.
