Sade Bonilla, affiliate of the Center for Student Success Research, conducted research on the longer-term effects of ethnic studies requirements that was recently published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America. The research showed that enrollment in ethnic studies substantially increased high school graduation, attendance, and the probability of enrolling in college. Learn more

Sade Bonilla, affiliate of the Center for Student Success Research, was recently awarded a Public Service Endowment Grant from the Office of Research & Engagement at UMass Amherst. Dr. Bonilla and Center personnel will provide a robust evaluation of the next iteration of Student 5.0, ReadyCT's rapid-response program to support students from under-resourced school districts. Ultimately the project will improve the college and career success of marginalized students graduating high school during the worst social crisis in recent memory. Learn more.
