When the pandemic forced schools across the country to go remote, Amieland Singh ‘23MEd did what any good science teacher would do: she decided to record herself conducting chemistry experiments from her deck, and to share those videos with her students.

The Center for Student Success Research (CSSR) conducted a mixed-methods study of first-generation students on campus during the 2018-2019 academic year. The aim of the study is to better understand who first-generation students at UMass are, the experiences they are having, and how to better serve them. The Center for First-Generation Student Success has selected this report to highlight on their website.  Learn more.
