Boscardin elected to CEC Board

Mary Lynn Boscardin was elected to the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) Board of Directors in a recent member-wide election. She will begin her term as the Member-at-Large, Non-Designated on Jan. 1, 2017.

Boscardin will participate in the organization’s administrative, general legislative, and policy making body. The Board of Directors establishes strategic direction for CEC, addresses issues of concern, and sets policy.

A long-time CEC member, Boscardin has been a member of the CEC Interdivisional Caucus and the CEC Convention Program Advisory Committee. She is currently a member of the CEC Knowledge and Skills Sub-Committee. She has also served as President of the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) and is currently a member of the CASE Executive Committee as editor for the Journal of Special Education Leadership. She is also co-editor with Jean Crockett and Bonnie Billingsley of the Handbook on Leadership and Administration for Special Education.

CEC is the professional association of educators dedicated to advancing the educational success of children with exceptionalities that accomplishes its mission through advocacy, standards and professional development.
