Professors Keisha Green and Florence Sullivan have been working with New England Public Radio (local NPR affiliate) on developing an installation based on the work of one of our doctoral students, Carlos McBride, with students in Springfield. The project is an after school program that teaches youth how to produce radio stories. The students have worked on a number of stories centered on Springfield. Subsequently, one of the students won a major award for his story.
The opening is expected to have some of the youth participants, some NEPR participants, alongside College of Education participants in the Furcolo Hub.
