Economics Department Internships Coordinator

Valerie Voorheis is the Internship Coordinator for Economics majors who need assistance locating and completing the paperwork necessary for credited paid or unpaid internships. You can find all the details on how to get started on setting up a credited internship by visiting: https://www.umass.edu/careers/internships/process. Appointments with Professor Voorheis may be made in the Navigate platform at www.umass.campus.eab.com/.

Career Planning & Professional Development

Students can find wide range of career planning advice and tools on the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences career advising website.  HANDSHAKE is the career services system where you can search for internships and register your profile.  To make an appointment with a career development professional in the SBS Pathwys Center, students must log into UMass Amherst CareerConnect, which also contains information on currently available internships, jobs, and other opportunities for current and recently graduated students.

UMass Amherst Career Services

UMass Amherst Career Services, located in Goodell Hall, manages internship and career resources at UMass Amherst and organizes a number of career fairs every year, provides resume review services, and manages the paperwork needed for credited internships and co-ops.
