In 2022, according to the Bureau of Labor, women made 83 cents on the dollar in relation to their male counterparts. One of the most important life skills you can learn is how to effectively negotiate—professionally for things like salaries and raises, and in our personal lives as well—from complex agreements to daily interactions. Although we negotiate all the time, most of us have not learned and practiced effective negotiation strategies. This workshop provides an introduction to basic negotiation strategies as well as an opportunity to practice your negotiating skills.
Women in Economics is a joint effort between the Resource Economics Department and the Economics Department to empower women in the field through scholarship, networking, and opportunity.
