Congress for the New Urbanism
Works with architects, developers, planners, and others involved in the creation of cities and towns, teaching them how to implement the principles of the New Urbanism.

Smart Growth America
A nationwide coalition promoting a better way to grow; one that protects farmland and open space, revitalizes neighborhoods, keeps housing affordable, and makes communities more livable.

Smart Growth Network
The mission of the Smart Growth Network is to encourage development that better serves the economic, environmental and social needs of communities. The Network provides a forum for information-sharing, education, tool development and application, and collaboration on smart growth issues.

Sprawl Watch Clearinghouse
The Sprawl Watch Clearinghouse mission is to make the tools, techniques, and strategies developed to manage growth, accessible to citizens, grassroots organizations, environmentalists, public officials, planners, architects, the media and business leaders. Northeast Center for Urban and Community Forestry

American Trails

East Coast Greenway

Urban Gardens and Brownfields Reuse

American Community Gardening Association
A national nonprofit membership organization of professionals, volunteers and supporters of community greening in urban and rural communities.

Brownfields Non-Profits Network
A network of non-profit organizations helping to promote the redevelopment of Brownfield properties throughout the United States.

Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens
The Center for Urban Agriculture at Fairview Gardens is a California non-profit organization that was established in 1997 to preserve and operate Fairview Gardens, the historic farm where their products are grown. Founded in 1895, Fairview Gardens is considered by some to be the oldest organic farm in southern California, and is now preserved in perpetuity through an agricultural conservation easement.

City Farmer
A non-profit society that promotes urban food production and environmental conservation.

The Edible Schoolyard
The Edible Schoolyard, in collaboration with Martin Luther King Junior Middle School, provides urban public school students with a one-acre organic garden and a kitchen classroom. Using food systems as a unifying concept, students learn how to grow, harvest, and prepare nutritious seasonal produce.
