SPEECH CONTEST - Topic: Korean Wave

Beginning & Intermediate Level (2 minutes)

The topic must be related to Korean culture (autobiographical and/or personal experiences are acceptable).

Pre-advanced and Advanced Level (3 minutes)

The topic must relate to Korean community interests, and social topics beyond personal experiences.

All students who are currently enrolled in a Korean language class at the Five Colleges can participate as a contestant. All speeches should be original and must be created by the contestant, and must be delivered without looking at a script. If you are interested in participating as a contestant, please contact your instructor by 3/14 and send the speech title by 3/20.

CULTURAL PERFORMANCE

We welcome all types of performances related to Korean culture, such as K-pop dance, singing, poetry-reading, acting and musical performances. Video recordings are also acceptable. Please note that the performances are not part of the competition but rather a celebration of learning Korean.

All Five College Students and faculty who are interested in Korean culture can perform.

If you would like to participate as a performer, please email your instructor or Professor Chan Young Park by 3/14 and send the title of your performance and video recordings by 3/20.
