Speech contest participation is open to students currently enrolled in Korean classes, and participation in the cultural performances is open to all in the Five College community, including faculty members. The audience is open to everyone!

Speech Contest

Eligibility

Students currently enrolled in a Korean language class at one of the Five Colleges can participate.

Speech Requirements

The speech must be original and created by the contestant.

It must be delivered without referring to a script.

  • Beginning & Intermediate Level (2 minutes)
  • Advanced Level (3 minutes)

Deadlines

If you are interested in participating, contact your instructor by March 27, 2026.

Submit your speech title by April 2, 2026.

Cultural Performance

Description

We welcome all types of performances related to Korean culture, such as K-pop dance, singing, poetry reading, acting and musical performances. 

Please note that performances are not part of the competition but rather a celebration of learning Korean language and culture.

Performance Eligibility

All Five College students and faculty who are interested in Korean culture can perform.
