I’m an environmental demographer by training. My research examines how populations and communities respond to environmental change, disasters, and other forms of environmental stress, and how these responses shape human behaviors, well-being and resilience. I’m particularly interested in population mobility and migration, adaptation, food security, health, housing, and community well-being, as well as how these experiences vary across places and populations. I study these questions through spatial and computational approaches, integrating demographic, geospatial, administrative, and other large-scale geolocated data to better understand population-environment relationships and spatial inequality.
