Research Interests

I am an environmental geographer with research interests in GIS, remote sensing and spatial modeling to study environmental systems.  My current remote sensing work focuses on 1) developping algorithms to monitor water constiuents (colored dissolved organic matter, suspended particulate matter), and 2) mapping soil organic carbon in coastal salt marshes. On the GIS side, my research group works on machine learning-based spatiotemporal data analystics to model human mobility and improve hazard response.
